Zoning Survey 2013
Some neighbors are concerned about the "R5" zoning of this area. The purpose of the survey is to determine whether residents are interested in rezoning to a status more respectful of the current homes. If most neighbors want to be rezoned, the neighbors would need to organize and propose the change to city hall.

Popular Questions
Q: What are the exact specifications of R1, R2, R4, and R5 zoning?
A: View the city's land development code. Specifically, read the section on residential districts.
Q: If the neighborhood is rezoned, what happens to non-compliant properties? For example, a three-unit house is rezoned to R2.
A: It would be grandfathered, whereby the owner may continue to operate it as a three-unit house, but it cannot be expanded or substantially changed without first coming into compliance.
Q: Which zoning districts allow or disallow renting?
A: All allow for renting. The districts dictate structure type and use, including density.
