Interior of Holy Angels, prior to 1933 lightning strike.
Holy Angels was struck by lightning in September 1933. The resulting fire caused the towers and roof to collapse. It was reconstructed, but the the towers were not restored.

The first building to officially bear the name Cathedral High School was built in 1914. It was later referred to as the North Building.
The 1914 building was abandoned and boarded-up for several years. Fire?
